Tennessee has now joined the ranks of many other states by doing away with the statutory requirements of in-person witnessing and notarization during this pandemic.  This means you don’t even have to visit our law office if you’d rather not.  We can handle your estate planning completely from the comfort and safety of your own home!

On April 9, 2020, Governor Lee signed Executive Order No. 26 (the “Order”). The Order suspends the “in person” requirement for will execution, the adherence to which is no longer possible due to social distancing requirements brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is great news for families who need to get that Will, Power of Attorney, Healthcare Directive or Guardianship plan in place without having to wait for social distancing to end.  Call or email us for the details.
